SRRC has a history dating back to 1885 and is located directly on the banks of Perth’s picturesque Swan River. Our upstairs function room can be hired for up to 150 guests, depending on your required seating configuration, and opens onto a large balcony that takes in sweeping views of the river and through to the city skyline. Tastefully decorated in neutral tones, our function room provides the perfect backdrop in which to create a fully personalised event tailored to your needs.

Affordable, Inner Perth Venue Hire

Staging an event, particularly in and around the Perth CBD, can be costly. If you’re considering a hotel, pub or other licensed venue, you’re likely to be locked into onsite catering as well as minimum food and beverage packages that can quickly exceed your budget. The Swan River Rowing Club is different in that we offer an idyllic location with stunning views close to Perth and public transport, but our clients maintain complete control over the design of their events. This includes organising their own catering, beverage supply, decorations, entertainment, AV equipment and party lighting as per their own, individual requirements. Whilst we can provide recommendations on suppliers who regularly service our venue, how our clients choose to run their events is completely up to them. This can include party organisers supplying their own home cooked food and purchased beverages which has the potential to save even more money.

Easily Accessible

Our venue is located right on the banks of Perth’s Swan River, just next to Canning Bridge and a short walk from the Canning Bridge train station. We have paid, onsite parking for 30 cars and additional public parking is available at nearby Raffles Hotel if required. The upstairs function room features its own separate entrance via a staircase and there is also an elevator for ease of wheelchair access and goods deliveries. For our low, venue hire fees, event organisers have complete use of the function room, balcony space, semi-commercial kitchen, rest room facilities and the club’s tables and chairs. Small bar facilities, as well as bar or wait staff can also be hired at an additional cost. Venue hirers are given direct contact with one of our staff members who acts as a point of contact leading up to the event and is also on hand throughout the function should any unforeseen issues arise.
